Title: Darlin' Artist: Jeremy Neale 600 plays

Jeremy Neale - Darlin’

Mint new tune from Jeremy Neale (lead singer of Brisbane band Velociraptor, mate of mine and all round good guy) - give it a listen!

And check out his triple j unearthed profile here.

I love Penny Wong.

A stop motion video Dom made of our Easter trip to Brunswick Heads (for Bluesfest). Also featuring Madeleine, Matt, Maddy and Sarah (among others).

Followers of Brisbane!

Please help me find a job!

I just quit my job as a bartender/waiter/barista due to poor treatment of staff. I am fast running out of money

Post-Bluesfest Blues

I am back from Bluesfest. It was definitely one of the greatest weeks of my life. Easily my favourite festival to date.

And now it is back to reality, starting with work in three hours.

Brilliant.

My favourite cereal (and top ten favourite foods) on the planet.

I genuinely could eat this all day, err’day.

Our impromptu trip to Byron Bay and Nimbin

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Last time I’ll bother you all about it but HERE IS THE LINK to the (free, obviously) podcasts for Talking Life with Peter Janetzki on Brisbane’s 96.5fm from last night. Dan’s on there talking about Big Brothers Big Sisters and has both a mentor and a “mentee” in the studio as well.

In Part 2 (around nine and a half minutes in) I’m on to chat about the Game On! program we’re running at the moment (for fifteen-ish minutes). Part 2 also features a parent of one of our “littles”, which is interesting to listen to as well.

Give it a listen if you’re in Brisbane and think you might be keen to help out a little lad or lass this year, or if you can’t commit to an entire year, Game On! is only eight weeks and we’ll probably be looking for some volunteers for term 2. I’m happy to answer any questions or chat about the program.

Big Thanks!

PEOPLE OF BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

All you cool cats staying in Brisbane, give 96.5fm a listen at some point between 8pm - 10pm tonight. ‘Talking Life’ with Peter Janetzki will be focusing on ‘Big Brothers Big Sisters’ this week. Dan the big Man will be chatting about it for a while (plus some other guests), and I’ll be chiming in for 10 or so minutes sometime before the halfway mark to talk about the Game On! program I’m currently helping run at some schools on the Southside.
The program has only been in Brisbane for eighteen months so we need all the publicity we can get to help bring in more volunteers and sponsors.
Give it a listen if you think you might be interested in being a mentor to a little lad or lass, or if you might be keen on helping me organise for school-based programs.

Big Peace!

NEED.

Radiohead tickets.

They’re on sale tomorrow morning, the same time as my first lecture for the year.

WHAT TO DO?!

I think I’m either going to skip the lecture… or ring my brother in Sydney and politely plead with him to purchase the tickets for me (he is far more tech-savvy, anyhow).

LIAM AND I NEED TO SEE RADIOHEAD IN NOVEMBER.

There is actually no way that we aren’t seeing them.
